Following the need for general increase in gas installation and servicing work in Cyprus, there is a developing need for the training of new gas operatives. In order for these trainees to comply with European and UK legislation, they will need to achieve ACS qualifications so as to enable them to work safely on gas systems.
CMS Training centre have organized such courses for several years and have been successful for the MOD BASES and a number of local contractors working in the republic of Cyprus.
The aim of the course is to train new-starters into the gas industry on safety, regulations, gases and combustion, domestic and commercial gas appliances.
To train and assess competence in cabinet heaters under the ACS scheme. To award ACS certificates to successful operatives.

Successful candidates can be awarded a certificate from Logic Certification under the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) for the various domestic appliances. To commence on the ACS System it has been agreed with the tutors that the module that will commence the delegates on the road to the ACS Scheme would be the Central Heating Boilers (CEN1) Because of the complexity of this course and the length of achieving the various appliances this certificate will be valid for five years.
Also each delegate will receive a certificate of training upon successful completion of the Course with a note added to confirm that the course was approved by the Cyprus Human Resource Development Authority.
After the completion of the 35 hour theory the candidates will undertake upto 3 days of assessments which once they have proven to be successful they will be awarded their ACS certification by Logic Certification a recognized UK certification body which the centre is approved to run, for the Central Heating Boilers, if time prevails and candidates requiring extra modules, other arrangements may be made with our tutors to sit more than one module whilst they are on island.
NOTE: The Centre is approved to deliver and assess over 30 modules it is impossible for a Gas Engineer to cover all these modules in the designated time above. Therefore it is suggested that delegates take this course as a STAGE 1 and then can add on other modules as time allows or at a later stage, where other arrangements may be made.
