This course delivers 21 hours Accredited *CPD classroom and practical instruction with assessment over 3 days. It offers delegates training to enable them to identify potential risks and hazards associated with accessing and working on masts, towers or similar structures inside or outside the protected areas using either temporary of permanently installed safety devices. Delegates will be able to consider the hierarchy of control measures when using personal work positioning, fall restraint and fall arrest systems.
On completion of the course, delegates:
• Should be able to identify what risks may be present accessing masts, towers or similar structures.
• Ensure that suitable control measures are in place, including adequate emergency arrangements (HS06 Rescue Course) prior to any work being carried out.
• They will be able to use permanent or temporary access systems and work anywhere on the structure.
• Delegates will be able to confidently recover a casualty utilizing various methods to a place of safety to ensure compliance with the need for an effective emergency plan to be in place when working at height.

WHO WILL BENEFIT

Lectures, LCD Projector, Training Handouts. For the practical exercise: (Safety Rescue Line, Safety harnesses. Each delegate to have his/her own PPE including Hard Hats/ Safety Boots/ Suitable Clothes/ Gloves)
ASSESSMENT / CERTIFICATION
Certification: CPD Accredited Certificate of Training (valid for 3 years – rescue element only valid for 12 months and will require re-validation).
